In Computer Science, the children are introduced to working on the Chromebooks from Year 1. In Key Stage 1, the children develop keyboard skills and mouse control using the touchpad. They use art websites to produce colourful artwork, work with digital photography and also develop their programming skills using Beebots.
In Years 3 and 4, the children create stop-frame animations as well as recording audio to make short podcasts. In Years 5 and 6, the children produce their own videos, using apps to edit and record these, and also create their own web pages. Across both Key Stages, we foster a knowledge of being safe on the Internet and always carry out activities to mark Safer Internet Day every year.
