How my child will thrive at Hulme Grammar School.

Pastoral care – Outstanding, well-resourced pastoral care allows each pupil to be known and individual talents and abilities nurtured, stretched and developed. Happiness is our top priority.

Academic – Research shows that attending an independent school can add the equivalent of two years of schooling by the age of 16. Also, Independent School entrants to university have a far smaller chance of first year drop-out. Our excellent academic standards and broad curriculum set our young people up for success at all stages of their educational journey.

Co-Curricular programme – All pupils benefit from a broad co-curricular programme, a key pillar of our success. Whether it is competitive sport, fitness for life, drama, music, or academic clubs such as Olympiads, your child will not fail to find their niche.

Facilities – Our beautiful Victorian building cannot help but inspire your sons and daughters. Hulme also boasts excellent sports facilities including a sports hall and 25m swimming pool.

Futures Provision – Hulme pupils are provided without outstanding, bespoke Futures Guidance through Prep and into 6thForm. In the 6th Form our ‘Inspire Programme’ ensures that every student is best place for a successful transition into the higher education, or career of their choice.

Leadership Opportunities – Strong leadership skills set Hulme students apart in Higher Education and as they develop through their careers. With excellent leadership training, and opportunities across all areas to lead peers and the wider community, pupils find confidence beyond their years.

A friendly and inspirational school community – Our tight knit community allows pupils, and their parents to find ‘their tribe’. This begins at the Prep School gates, and continues through 6th Form and beyond as graduates become part of the extensive, and supportive Hulmeian Alumni network.
