The Parent Family Teacher Association (PFTA) represents all sections of the schools at Hulme Grammar– from Pre-Prep right through to Sixth Form. Our aim is to create a warm and welcoming community for parents and families that supports the school. We have a core group of volunteers and class reps, but we’re always keen to hear from parents, family members and friends of the school who would like to get involved in events, activities and initiatives in any way they can.
Events and fundraising
We plan a calendar of events throughout the school year that are both school related for the pupils, but also just for fun to raise money for school activities, facilities and programmes. Last year fundraising efforts helped pay for much needed equipment in the drama department, a make-over in sixth form common rooms and additional training in the art department.
In addition to our fundraising activities, the PFTA regularly provides catering and refreshments at various concerts and sporting events held at school.
The PFTA hold regular organisation meetings which are updated here, but please don’t worry if you can’t make the meetings as we always welcome any support, ideas and suggestions at any time of the year.

Class representatives
Through our volunteers we also organise class representatives for each year group to help with communications, ideas and latest news for parents and families. If you would like to be a class rep for a particular year group, please do get in touch by email: pfta@hulmegrammar.org
Uniform shop
The PFTA also runs a second-hand uniform shop. If you require any second-hand uniform from the PFTA, our New-2-U Uniform email is uniform@hulmegrammar.org. Similarly, if your child has grown out of their uniform and it is in good condition, please consider donating it to us.
If you would like any further information on the Parent Family Teacher Association and how you can become involved, please do not hesitate to contact us by email: pfta@hulmegrammar.org
