Just like anyone, our pupils and their families are not immune to the growing financial pressures of today’s world.
While Hulme offers many bursaries to ensure that pupils can take up their place here, unexpected financial need nevertheless arises. Families may find that their financial situation is not as stable as anticipated due to illness, loss of employment or family break-up.
This uncertainty can cause substantial financial anxiety, affect mental health and prevent our pupils from focusing on their studies and making the most of their experience at Hulme.
Thanks to generosity from donors we can minimise the impact of financial hardship and ensure our pupils can continue their education and experience at school. Hulme can make funding available to pupils and families to alleviate unexpected financial loss and expenditure at a time when they need it most. We have helped pupils with travel costs, uniform and equipment or to subsidise fees and make up for loss in income. This is only possible because of generous support from many alumni and friends of the school.
